This invention relates to providing a system for recruitment and management of new subscribers of cellular telephone services. More particularly this invention relates to providing a system by which independent dealers can more competitively offer cellular telephone service subscriptions, broaden the group of consumers which can become subscribers and reduce the risk of loss from early subscription cancellations.
The Cancellations and Deposits (CAN-De) Fund is a unique, win-win program that benefits indirect dealers and a previously untapped market of cellular phone customers unable to pay high activation deposits. The CAN-De Fund will allow indirect dealers to offer cellular phone activations to potential customers who cannot qualify for the service under current credit requirements. Dealers and their associates would complete CAN-De Fund training to understand how to distribute funds only to credit worthy customers who have a low potential of becoming chargebacks.
The CAN-De Fund shared reserve will be created from a small percentage of cellular phone activation commissions or from a dealer having a substantial amount deposited directly to the fund for immediate use. The fund can be used by the dealer/owner to pay the customers deposit. When the specified time period is up, usually a year, the deposit will be returned to the CAN-De Fund. This fund can also provide monies for service agreement benefits, instant consumer rebates, no-cost transfer options and temporary marketing funds. The monies are returned to the CAN-De Fund when the carrier reimburses the indirect dealer.
The concept of this program is designed to increase overall number of activations while minimizing potential loss, enhance customer satisfaction and create customer loyalty.
